About Masters in Trading

My name is Jonathan Rose. I’m a visionary and pioneer in the realm of computer-based trading. It all started in 1997 when I made a daring move to Chicago and quickly established myself as a leading player in the Nasdaq markets. Back then, the Futures markets were transitioning from traditional Open Outcry methods to online trading. This provided me with an exceptional opportunity to exploit arbitrage opportunities as trading volume shifted to the internet.

I quickly became recognized on the floor of the exchange for my ability to analyze risk and numerical data. I navigated the fiercely competitive Nasdaq Open Outcry market, staying ahead of the curve as the newer Globex market emerged. Watching the market transformation from traditional methods to automated trading was a riveting experience that provided equipped me with invaluable insights and a wealth of knowledge.

In 2003, a group of top traders in Chicago hand-picked me to join their brand-new firm. As the 6th employee, I quickly rose through the ranks. By the time the firm was sold in 2010, I had become one of the four partners of this rapidly growing trading firm with over 200 employees. While I felt I was at the top of my game, it was time for a break. 

I took a year off to train for a triathlon and completed the IRONMAN Wisconsin. This year was spent pushed myself to new heights every day, ultimately achieving my long-time goal of finishing the race. Finishing the Ironman was incredibly special in its own right, but most importantly, it taught me that with enough dedication and hard work, anything can be achieved.

With this new mindset, I re-entered the market in 2011 and was back on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange – this time focused on options trading. I evolved into a market maker after gaining a tremendous amount of experience seeing the ins and outs of turning profits with options.
