THE MOTHER OF ALL BUY SIGNALS
Heck Yeah, VIX Trading System Double Buy Signal!
It is not uncommon to get two back-to-back buy signals like this.
In 2022, this is the 2nd time we are seeing double signals—none in 2021. Two during 2020; the first signal was during late January and early February, then on June 8th and June 12th, 2020.
Each time presents a tremendous buying opportunity.
Tax flows are over now as well.
Now it's time for the Treasury to spend that $ back into the economy, as usually happens right after-tax collection. The Treasury's account is back to nearly $1 trillion. During the week of April 13, the Treasury received $260 billion in individual income taxes. This has been the highest ever individual tax collection. Just look at how huge this tax collection was relative to the past 20 years!
So, this explains some of the sales we've been seeing. The working thesis here is that the Treasury is now going to “return” those funds into the economy by spending. Dollars go away during tax time, dollars come back into the economy shortly after.
